Retail Link Analyst

For the last 60 years our Toronto client has partnered with mass-market, mid-tier and independent North American retailers. The goal: to turn their private label collections into must-have wardrobe essentials. They specialize in hosiery, head wear, lounge wear, fashion accessories, and health & beauty – combining fashion-forward designs and an uncompromising commitment to quality production to help their retail partners build internationally-recognized brands that deliver strong bottom-line results.

They are looking for a Retail Link certified Sales Analyst to report directly to and work closely with the Vice President Sales providing support, assisting, and partnering on all sales initiatives and to manage the Walmart account.

This position requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to effectively communicate findings and recommendations. The successful candidate must have advanced Excel skills and experience in the CPG/Wholesale industry. The Sales Analyst will play a crucial role in driving sales growth by providing insights into market trends, customer behavior, and sales performance. Strong proficiency in retail math concepts is essential for this role.

NOTE: This is not a hybrid position.

Responsibilities:
• Analyze sales data and trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
• Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to management
• Experience working with retailers’ sales report data i.e. Retail Link
• In-depth knowledge of the CPG industry and North American Retail Industry
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop sales strategies and initiatives
• Monitor and track sales performance against targets and goals
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify market trends and opportunities
• Assist in the development of sales forecasts and budgets
• Provide support to the sales team by generating sales reports, analyzing customer data, and identifying potential leads
• Provide regular analysis and full detailed understanding of portfolio to justify trends and performance – Promotional performance, ROI, Lost Sales, In-stock %, Fill rates etc.
• Assist VP as required, buyer meetings, trade shows, online setups, new item set up forms, line review preparation, etc.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and customer preferences

Qualifications:
• Retail Link certification
• A university or equivalent college degree in business related courses is preferred
• 3+ years experience with Retail Link in the CPG/Retailer/Wholesale industry
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
• Knowledge of retail math concepts, including gross margin, sell-through rate, and inventory turnover
