Plant Manager – Tooling & Machining

Our client, offers precision machining, design/manufacturing of ceramic core and wax tooling as well as premier manufacturing of tight tolerance turbomachinery components and multiple pre-cast and post-cast support services. They are looking for a Plant Manager for their Cleveland operations. This role will oversee 3 facilities within the same industrial Park (80,000 combined sf, 70+ staff).

Responsibilities
• Directs and coordinates daily plant operations
• Drive year of year revenue growth
• Review current staff, hire key individuals to support succession planning initiatives
• Holding managers accountable to their departments
• Drive lean events, reduce waste throughout the three Ohio sites
• Engage with key customers to improve overall communication
• Work with customers to resolve business issues
• Work with customers for new sales opportunities
• Instill and support the focus on quality
• Reduce scrap / RMA occurrences
• Provides leadership to business unit managers
• Identify and mentor individuals to grow within the organization
• Develop business strategies and new business opportunities
• Assisting in development of forms and tools to increase company efficiency and quality
• Providing vision regarding overall success and health of the company
• Oversee compliance to established policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Supervising directly non-supervisory employees
• Effectively managing through clear and direct communication with staff and fellow employees
• Effectively communicating with customers
• Establishing site goals and objectives
• Fostering a success-oriented, accountable environment within the organization
• Performing other duties as assigned
• Observe safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly

• Provide feedback with regard to monthly P&L reports; helping to drive margins and revenue growth
• Drive current processes with a focus on quality
• Provide input on new and current process improvement

Qualifications

• College degree in a relevant field
• 7 – 10 years experience in a business management role
• Experience in managing large production volumes and small prototype volumes
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Keen ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
• Experience in the machining of aerospace and industrial gas turbine alloys (preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Salary: Commensurate with experience
