MEP Project Manager

Our client, a leading Mechanical and Construction company in New Jersey is looking for an MEP Project Manager who can plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects from start to finish. Experience in public work projects is a plus.

Job Responsibilities:
• Organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed on time.
• Proficiency in Procore, Microsoft Exchange and MS Office.
• Ability to read Technical & Architectural drawings.
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of Institutional HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical trades
• Ability to write vendor/subcontractor scope of work
• Set-up a workable schedule for job cost control, labor, material, equipment and subcontractors.
• Set-up a pre-planning meeting with internal project stakeholders.
• Work with Estimating Department on all equipment and material buyouts.
• Work with project team to ensure job drawings and change orders are up to date.
• Manage financial aspects of the contract, including but not limited to: financial forecasting, manpower forecasting, job cost tracking, preparing monthly billings, Etc.
• Interface with subcontractors, engineers, architect, and owners as required.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, laborers, vendors and subcontractors.

General Qualifications
• 7+ years MEP construction project management experience
• BS in Mechanical Engineering a plus.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Self-directed with strong time-management skills.
• Exceptional communication, writing and interpersonal skills.
