Construction Project Manager

Recruiting For Less – Our client, a Washington DC based government and commercial General Contractor, is looking for a Construction Project Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will be experienced and successful in providing cost estimation, scheduling, and overall cradle to grave project management for multiple private and federal construction projects.

Responsibilities:
• Detailed cost budgeting and hard cost/competitive cost estimating
• Setting and communicating project standards and expectations and meeting those
• standards and expectations;
• Cost estimating, scheduling, and providing quality control support
• Ensuring work is performed per plans and specifications and all work and changes are well documented
• Represent the company at project related meetings
• Project profitability and on-time delivery
• Writing project performance and project financial update reports

Qualifications:
• 5+ years project management experience in commercial construction
• Experience in both the public and private commercial construction arenas
• Proficient using construction management software (such as Primavera and Procore)
• Including other software applications such as MS Excel, MS Project, and Adobe Pro Work history in the federal and/or municipal sectors is an asset
• Proven ability to qualify subcontractor and vendor scopes
• possess excellent oral and written skills
• Analytical in thought and adept at problem solving
• Capable of leading and managing assistant project managers and/or project engineers
