Assistant Buyer

Our Mississauga client is in the automotive parts sector is looking for a highly organized individual to join their purchasing staff in the role of “Buyer”.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of purchasing experience, be a comfortable user of the Microsoft Suite of applications (especially Excel), as well as possess good spoken and written English skills. The candidate should have a purchasing certification / education on a university / college level.

Responsibilities:

• Generate and review purchase orders
• Receive goods into stock and reconcile with Purchase Order
• Inventory forecasting by analyzing sales data and market trends
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels across multiple branches
• Conduct price comparison analysis to ensure best pricing
• Manage warranty claims with suppliers
• Manage overseas freight and logistics
• Experience coordinating freight logistics and knowledge of transportation documentation (i.e. Customs, NAFTA, Bill of lading) are assets
Salary: to 60k, with benefits
