Quality Control Manager – Military Grade Nonferrous Metals

Our Hatboro based client provides a variety of industries, including aerospace & defense, with high-quality nonferrous metals. They are ISO 9001:2008, MIKL-I-454208A and EB2678L certified as well as ISO9001:2015 certified Metal Service Center. They are looking for a Quality Manager.

This role will be responsible for overseeing and administering the activities associated with our Quality Management System (QMS) and serves as the main point of contact for all internal and external issues related to quality. This position works directly with the lead management team to ensure the company continues to meet and exceed the expectations of our most demanding customers.

Essential Functions:

• Contract review for orders with higher level quality requirements
• Preparation of internal inspection documents
• Preparation of certification documents for completed orders
• Resolve Rejections / CAR notifications
• Perform Internal Audits
• Perform External Audits on our approved vendors
• Monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Conducting regular Employee trainings
• Conducting annual Quality Management meetings with key stakeholders
• Update, as required, the Quality Manual and associated documented procedures
• Work directly with, and manage the activities of, our Quality Analyst and our Head Materials Inspector

Education/Experience:

• 3-5 years Sales or Quality experience with Ship Building, Aerospace or Department of Defense related customers
• Sales or Quality experience within the metals industry preferred but not required
• Strong attention to detail
• Prior QMS Management experience is not a must. Willing to train the right candidate.
