Project Manager – Pharmaceutical Market Research

Our client, a Miami based leading global pharmaceutical market research firm, is in need of a Project Manager. This role will plan, organize, lead and control efficiently and effectively the development of projects across several countries, diseases and clients. Responsibilities include but are not limited to project management, fieldwork control, dashboard building, data quality control, analysis and report writing.Experience with Tableau software is a must to be considered for this role.

Roles & Responsibilities:
• Identify all the internal and external resources whether financial or human resources required for completing the project successfully
• Determine resource requirements and coordinate with internal departments and/or external suppliers to establish the project schedule, assignments, and budget insuring compliance to standards.
• Oversee internal and external vendor activities including data collection, data processing and cloud reporting tool.
• Evaluate the progress of project on regular basis. Manage day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple or large-scale projects, ensuring timely response and insight.
• Identify vulnerabilities and obstacles, and create innovative solutions to any problems.
• Carry out tasks required for the research study to ensure that the project objectives are met on-time, under budget and with very high quality.
• Develop and execute an efficient internal communication strategy for ensuring communication with all levels of management within the team.
• Provide coaching and guidance to the team members about every aspect of the project so that the team members can understand their tasks fully and act on them efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task and work under pressure when working towards deadlines.
• Develop tools and techniques for distributing tasks per the skills of every team member and to evaluate the performance of all team members.
• Set realistic and practical goals for the project and develop appropriate strategies for achieving these goals.
• Keeps abreast of the latest strategies, tools and terminologies used in project management and the pharmaceutical industry worldwide; adopt them to increase productivity and demonstrate proficiency in the market/industry.
• Become an expert in the therapeutic areas s/he is responsible of by reading guidelines, information, newsletters, clients publications and quarterly calls, and staying attentive to development in the industry.
• Build healthy relationships with clients to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus and achieve objectives, providing training and additional reports or tools when required, to consolidate client relationship/ partnership.
• Responsible for directing and controlling the overall execution of the research project from launch through customer delivery to meet the established targets for scope, quality, schedule, and cost.
• Provides regular updates to clients on project’s health (at least once a week)
• Project execution of multi-country studies using online and traditional research methodologies
• Maintain high quality and effective project internal status reporting
• Participate as a research team member to ensure that all facets of the research study proceed as planned, and all efforts are made to meet prescribed deadlines and budget projections.
• Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously
• Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence.
• Research best practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data and use continuous process improvement disciplines to achieve results
• Govern and report on the project as progress and performance via SharePoint project sites and/or other approved enterprise PM tools. Manage project timeline using PERT technique.
• Monitor and govern the activities throughout the project design process. Direct the processes through project data collection, analysis, and delivery. Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables
• Monitor the established Key Performance Indicators to determine project health. Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership
• Determines the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results and troubleshoot problem areas.
• Assess project viability when changes introduce risks to scope, quality, schedule, or cost targets
• Provide on-site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.
• Ability to arbitrate between departments and drive outcomes to meet project targets.
• Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel. Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team.
• Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs
• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations to various audiences, including project team, clients and key stakeholders.
• Grows long-term relationships with clients and capitalizes on equity and partnership opportunities. Serves as key participant in team and client meetings.
• Oversees the design of research questionnaires and moderator guides, review the analyses and reports of others—ensuring accuracy, logical consistency and value-added
• Interpreting data, writing reports, and making actionable recommendations

Education/Experience Required:
• Bachelors or Master degree (preferred) in business, statistics, engineering or the sciences
• Experience with a market research supplier, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Understanding of the pharmaceutical market with solid analytic and critical thinking skills required.
• Expertise in Excel, Power Point and Tableau software.
• Excellent knowledge of statistical packages (SPSS, SAS, Minitab or similar)
• Adequate knowledge of research and data collection methods.
• Knowledge of data warehousing, modelling, forecasting and mining
• Demonstrated experience using SharePoint and Office365 Tools
• Strong written and verbal communication
