Position Overview:
This role is accountable for the preparation of fixture drawings for customer approval and detail fabrication information and design through the use of AutoCAD Inventor. The information produced must represent the customer’s design intent.
Responsibilities:
• Produce fixture drawing specifications for customer review based on the prescribed design using the company engineering/drawing standards
• Incorporate engineered, efficient, best practice design/production methods in the design/detail drawing process
• Review all drawings and specifications with Engineering Manager
• Product development – source and develop information & details for efficient production resulting in excellent quality
• Production/manufacturing review – interact with production to assure design/production flow
• Create Bills of Materials for all manufactured product
• Maintain/update all revisions to B.O.M’s
• Preparation of all required detail drawings, cutlists, and laser programs for accurate production job flow
• Create work orders for production based on accurate Bill of Materials
Key Measures:
• Drawings/specifications meet customer’s design criteria
• Efficient use of fabrication details to maximize production flow, overall product quality and cost efficiency
• Drawings/specs meet company standards
• 100% accuracy on B.O.M’s, cutlists, laser programs and drawing documents for production
• Timeline of submissions to production are completed in a quick timeframe
Qualifications:
• 3 – 5 years of experience in metal fabrication design
• Proficient with AutoCAD Inventor
Compensation:
• 55k – 70k commensurate with experience
