Part-Time HR Manager

Our Toronto-based client is a design and product development company specializing in fashion, lifestyle, home, bath and beauty care. They are looking for a part-time HR manager who can be in the office one day a week.
Responsibilities:
• Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
• Maintains HR management guidelines by reviewing/updating the Employee Manual and HR policies and procedures.
• Promotes themselves as unbiased and independent of ownership in handling all HR -related issues; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors.
• Maintains historical HR records by designing a filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records.
• Maintains a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; scheduling and conducting job evaluations; preparing pay budgets; monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions; recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions.
• Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees.
Compensation is commensurate with experience
