Marketing and Communications Coordinator

Our Mississauga client, one of the premier association management companies in Canada, is in need of a Marketing & Communications Coordinator to oversee the implementation of the marketing and communications plan for an association client. Our client’s business provides non-profit organizations/associations/societies full-service management in areas such as finance, administration, communications, strategic development and more.
Position Overview

This position reports to the Executive Director. The successful candidate must have highly developed, interpersonal skills including writing, spelling and grammar, as well as a positive, upbeat attitude.

Responsibilities
• Overseeing ongoing updates to the association’s website
• Coordinating trade show opportunities including researching opportunities, submitting applications, shipping of materials, etc. and representing the association at the tradeshow
• Work with volunteers across Canada in coordinating presentations to be delivered to students, professional groups, etc.
• Liaise and support the Communications Committee on identifying opportunities for promotion and marketing of the association
• Coordinate communications to association members both in print and online as required
• Manage social media platforms
• Create, distribute and manage press releases
• Liaise with a variety of suppliers and service providers
• Deliver communication support to the Executive Director, other staff and committees as required

Requirements:
• Bilingual (English/French verbal and written)
• Experience in Marketing and Communications is preferred.
• Willingness to learn and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
• Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Acrobat, Adobe products and the ability to quickly learn new software applications.
• Able to work independently and in a team both within the office and with our clients on multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• May be required to work hours outside of regular Monday-Friday, 9 to 5 work week

Compensation
• Salary: 45- 50k commensurate with experience
• Vacation: 2 weeks
