Bookkeeper – Manufacturing Industry

Recruiting For Less – Our North York-based client, an established precision machined products manufacturer is in need of a Bookkeeper to be responsible for the general full-cycle accounting duties, purchasing/procurement, and quality auditing. The successful candidate should demonstrate maturity, cross-functionality and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities:

• Monthly account reconciliations and closing journal entries

• Prepare financial reports, statements, analysis and maintain financial schedules and statistical data

• Collection of accounts receivable and payable, including entry of receipts, bank deposits and solving discrepancies on accounts and invoices

• Entry of all financial transactions, posting, journal entries, adjustment, Trial Balances and monthly financials

• Manage ongoing expenses, cash flows and budgets by reconciling expenses, reviewing and analyzing of financial results

• HST filings, tax returns, filing remittances, HST, EI, WSIB

• Purchasing including sourcing supplier pricing, issuing purchase orders, matching purchase orders to receipts

• Perform and report on internal quality auditing and communicate with 3rd party auditors

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in accounting in a manufacturing setting

• University/College degree required, CGA designated

• Strong computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and Simply Accounting/Sage

• Experience with purchasing/procurement an asset

• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills

• Able to adapt to new processes and systems, eager to learn
