Sales & Logistics Lead

Our North York-based client, a freight brokerage firm is in need of a motivated and entrepreneurial up-and-comer to be responsible for the business development, account management and operational dispatch/logistics support for new business. The successful candidate has a strong inclination to sales, offers exceptional customer service, demonstrates flexibility and has the ability to wear multiple hats and handle competing priorities. This position is on a career growth track for those looking to grow with a company.

Responsibilities:

Prospect for and develop leads into sales opportunities by engaging businesses
Manage and maintain relationships with clients
Understand and capture the client’s business needs to identify opportunities and offer solutions
Provide quotes and estimates and negotiate terms of agreement
Operationally fulfill the clients freight requirements through dispatching and logistics
Source carriers
Track and monitor status of freight
Follow up on customers in a timely manner to address any issues and work towards a resolution/work-around/alternative

Qualifications:

Limited experience in B2B sales in a logistics company, experience in dispatch an asset
Strong computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Ambitious and sales driven
Personable, friendly
Strong communications skills (written, verbal)

Compensation:

Salary: $35-40K base + commission
Vacation: 2 weeks
