National HR Manager

Our Mississauga-based client, a North American appliance designer and manufacturer is in need of a National HR Manager to be responsible for driving the implementation of HR strategy while supporting business leaders and employees. The successful candidate should demonstrate a strong background in coaching and collaborating and providing proactive .

Responsibilities:

Understand business priorities and challenges and using business knowledge, trend reporting and data to recommend and implement effective solutions
Partner with management team to gage key performance issues, objectives and drivers and their implications for people and organization strategies
Champion new initiatives and act as a catalyst for change that drives continuous improvement
Coach and support managers on leading change, engaging employees building capabilities effectively, people development and organizational related processes
Select, retain and develop the right talent
Consult and assist the business and US talent acquisition team in recruiting and workforce planning efforts, including interview and selection
Develop and implement proactive and innovative talent management solutions
Drive a culture of growth, high performance and positive employee relations
Support rollout of global HR solutions to business units, engaging stakeholders and coaching managers to gain buy in
Develop tools in collaboration with Centers of Expertise and HR Services to maximize opportunities for economies of scale, global consistency and shared learning
Administration of employee benefits, pension plan, compensation program, disability claims, WSIB reporting, payroll processing and year-end filing
Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues by conducting thorough and effective investigations
Provide guidance and interpretation of HR policies and procedures
Support annual performance cycle and ensure program compliance
Oversee Health and Safety program
Serve as Canadian Country Manager
Coordinate Canadian auto fleet

Qualifications:

Minimum 7 years’ experience in human resource generalist role, familiarity with all aspects of HR administration, operations, payroll, recruitment, benefits and HRIS
University/College degree required in HR Management or similar field, completion of certificate strongly preferred
Strong computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience in managing and administering Pension Plans, EAP, Service Awards and Incentive Plans
Knowledge and detailed understanding of Human Rights, Labor Relations, Employment Standards, Health and Safety and Pay Equity Legislation, Job Analysis and improvement of HR metrics/KPIs

Compensation:

Salary: $80-110K
Vacation: 2 weeks
