Business Systems Analyst – Software Development

Our Richmond Hill client powers seamless cross-channel shopping experiences for major North American and International retailers through creative and intelligent design, development, implementation and support of Omni-Channel SaaS (Software as a Solution).

They are seeking a bright-minded and talented individual to join their team as a Business Systems Analyst. Your role in the organization is to drive concept and ideation into results. You will take part in the research, design, and ultimately implementation of ecommerce technology solutions and functionality to a custom software application, while also providing a focus on innovating technology to dramatically improve the customer experience. This role will collaborate with the SVP of the Professional Services Group on the following:
• Working on multiple concurrent projects in an ongoing changing environment
• Participating in regular design meetings with the Client and front‐end design partner
• Participating in regular data integration planning meetings with the Client
• Identifying usability problems and make suggestions for improvement
• Identifying and enforcing ecommerce standards and best practices
• Collecting input from stakeholders and end users in order to determine detailed feature requirements for the ecommerce site
• Collaborating as part of a team to create Software Requirements Specifications (SRS) based on front‐end designs and back‐end data and configuration requirements
• Exercising independent judgement within the ecommerce software platform’s feature set to identify solutions for the Client
• Participating in regular project status and action meetings with Project Delivery Group
• Testing software with the understanding of bugs that are critical to the end‐user and what features and functionality are in‐scope or out of scope
• Creating documentation and training end users on the system features and functionality
• Supporting multiple application development and implementation teams
• Reviewing, evaluating and updating ecommerce site documentation

Qualification and Skills
• Exhibit solid communication skills, written and verbal, with ability to communicate and articulate technical information into layman terms
• Strong analytical and problem‐solving capabilities
• Highly results-oriented
• Able to adapt and quickly develop in‐depth technical understanding of new/different applications
• Strong ability to analyze situations, diagnose problems, and develop and implement solutions, often within narrow timeframe
• Must be a team player willing to work on a variety of technical initiatives
• Must have the ability to work independently and identify priorities for completion of multiple tasks / projects
• Ability to prioritize and follow‐up on work

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
• 3+ years in a Developer or Software Analyst Role
• Strong experience with Microsoft development tools and database environments
• 2+ years’ experience in online applications preferably ecommerce
