Team Lead – Gas Pipeline Benchmarking

Our Houston client, a global benchmarking service firm is looking for a Business Manager to run the Performance and Cost Metrics Benchmarking Program for the Gas Processing/Liquids Pipeline sector. This program is primarily focused on Gas Processing Plants and Gas Gathering Systems, Liquid Pipeline and NGL Fractionation Plants.
Their clients are leaders in the Petrochemical and Energy business who seek to monitor and improve their competitive position. We provide detailed analysis of their relative competitive operating performance within their industry sector. Our studies guide enterprise performance improvements, ultimately contributing to optimal sector performance and shareholder value.

Responsibilities:
• Provide the operations perspective for effective execution of benchmarking projects.
• Play a major role in data interpretation and presentation of findings to our clients.
• Key client interface and subject matter expert, providing the commercial and technical perspective critical for effective leadership and growth of collaborative benchmarking projects related to Gas Processing Plants and Liquid Pipeline Operations.
• Manage the execution of detailed analyses under this program. Responsibilities include involvement with all aspects the statistical analysis, preparation of C-Level presentations of results.
• Work with plant managers for determining specific data targets, may offer training on data collection,
• Collaborate with Research Analysts on all aspects the statistical analysis,

Requirements:
• The Business Manager must be conversant in petrochemical industry trends and manufacturing economics, and must have an interest in detailed data evaluations.
• 5+ years midstream gas processing industry experience including management of Natural Gas Processing Facilities, Gas Gathering, Pipeline Operations and/or NGL Fractionation operations
• Strong understanding of Key Performance Indicators involved with Gas Processing, Plant Maintenance, NGL Fractionation, Pipeline Operations, along with cost structure and performance factors
• BS Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related field is desirable
• Strong written/verbal communication & presentation skills in the English language
• Strong understanding of supply chain issues, including related products, product logistics, terminology, industry participants, petrochemical cost structure, and market influences
• Excellent or higher competency with Microsoft Excel (including Macros), Word and PowerPoint
• Working knowledge of various statistical approaches to data analysis and technical writing skills
• Experience in Business Planning, Business Analysis or Business Development would be a plus
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail in an environment of multitasking under stringent deadlines

Major Activities include:
• Interfacing with client on study goals and data specific issues
• Conduct client training workshops to clarify data requirements and educate clients on use of benchmarking tools to improve business performance
• Working with in-house staff to clearly define program/project plans, data requirements and staffing requirements
• Detailed oversight and participation in statistical data analysis
• Detailed interpretation of study results from industry wide and client perspective
• Development of client tailored presentations of findings
• Research, prepare and present special topic, industry level, value-added report
• Identify opportunities to expand client services, enhance existing programs and launch industry extensions of products and services
• Travel Requirements: 10% to 20% primarily domestic, with some international
