Warehouse Supervisor – Retail Appliances

As one of the GTAs largest private appliance retailers our client is growing in leaps and bounds. They are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join their expanding team. Working closely with the Operations Manager, this role will be responsible for receiving/shipping, warehouse personnel as well as inventory management.

Responsibilities:
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the warehouse
• Determine and delegate daily work requirements to the warehouse team and follow up on work results.
• Supervise a team of warehouse employees including hiring, training and conducting orientation. Lead and develop the warehouse team.
• Operate a forklift as required
• Maintain compliance with all applicable federal and provincial legislation as well as local warehousing, material handling and shipping requirements. Enforce adherence to requirements and advise management on any corrective actions.
• Enforce health and safety regulations and procedures.
• Respond and provide reports to senior management as requested

Qualifications:
• 3 – 5 years of experience in warehouse/distribution/supply chain management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Forklift certification

Compensation:
• Salary: 35 – 45k commensurate with experience
• Vacation: 2 weeks
