Our Richmond Hill client powers seamless cross-channel shopping experiences for major North American and International retailers through creative and intelligent design, development, implementation and support of Omni-Channel SaaS (Software as a Solution).

They are seeking a bright-minded and talented individual to join their team as a Sr. Product Manager. Your role in the organization acts to enhance the product usability and functionality. You have a wealth of experience setting visions and directions on software products especially with a focus on ecommerce and order management systems. This role will collaborate with the VP Product on the following:
• Acting as project sponsor for individual product enhancements
• Set and implement the roadmap for one or more areas of the product
• Create business cases for large new features by gathering requirements, costs and potential market segment into a coherent presentation
• Working with the VP Product to create long term visions for the product
• Gathering enhancement requests from customers and determining core functionality out of wish lists.
• Creation of user stories for developers to build from – creating appropriate requirements and acceptance criteria
• Presenting new features to clients in person or over webinar
• Learning and evaluating competing systems
• Deciding between different web based UX paradigms and strategies
• Ensuring that client requirements are met from concept through to implementation
• Contribute to white papers and blog posts about industry direction and product features
• Support the sales process through contribution to bid responses and participation in sales meetings
• Assisting with partner selection and management

Requirements
• Experience dealing with all levels of business (from developer to CEO)
• Client facing experience – particularly focused on enterprise level clients
• Technical understanding essential – preferably coming from a technical background – but otherwise having worked with technical people on a day to day basis
• Understanding of security within an ecommerce context
• Understanding of user experience
• Experience prioritizing features based on wider business priority and client demand
• The ideal candidate will be a pragmatist who will strive for the best implementation, but accept compromise to deliver to the customer.
• Open to travel to client site

Assets

• Detailed experience with ecommerce, Order Management Systems or Warehouse Management Systems platforms.
• Experience working within an ecommerce retail operation
• Understanding of digital marketing
• Experience working with SaaS platforms and an understanding of their nature and operation
• Experience of agile development practices and working in a SCRUM environment
• Experience of task management systems, preferably TFS.
