Recruiting For Less – Our client, an East LA food manufacturing plant, is looking for a bilingual day-shift Plant Supervisor. The Plant Supervisor is responsible for the overall supervision and coordination of all activities being conducted on his/her shift.
Responsibilities:
In addition to supervising and coordinating activities, other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Completion of reports for all production records submitted to management.
• The communication and enforcement of company rules, procedures and policies to all employees and trainees.
• Overall operation of plant equipment.
• Training and orientation of all new-hires.
• Supervise all daily activities within the facility.
• Responsible for all initial quality control as to accuracy of production and appearance of product.
• Assist in evaluation of all production personnel and subordinates.
• Basic computer skills necessary for input of cleaning records and production details.
• Motivate and challenge all employees to perform to the best of their ability.
• Must have the ability to prioritize.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and juggle multiple responsibilities.
• Must be quality minded and shall quality responsibility during process.
Skills:
• Must be able to submit and pass company Basic Aptitude Test and Forklift Training Program.
• Must be able to lift 60 lbs. repetitively
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen as well as submit to random testing throughout the year.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Possess acceptable reading and writing skills to effectively communicate with all levels of management.
• Possess basic mathematical skills with the ability to tabulate and reconcile counts and inventories including being proficient at basic calculations.
• Possess strong administrative and supervisory skills with the ability to motivate, inspire and direct all levels of personnel and subordinates.
Compensation:
• 45-60K, 2 weeks’ vacation, benefits
