Business Development Manager – Screws & Sealing Washers

Our Toronto based client specializes in the production and distribution of concrete anchors and other fasteners. They are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team.

Job Description

Primary responsibilities involve supporting the sales team in finding and developing new business opportunities. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the individual must have the ability to work independently.

Primary Responsibilities
• Call on the Engineering firms to have products accepted and specified.
• Research and pursue new OEM business opportunities.
• Arrange and conduct regular presentations to engineering firms to grow brand recognition & sales.
• Train and provide technical support to the field sales team and customers (including engineers, end users) as required.
• Establish relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Define customer requirements and suggest appropriate fastening solution.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional networks.
• Possess detailed knowledge of competitive products, including specifications, competitive advantages/disadvantages and price structure.
• Track and manage opportunities through the company’s CRM

Qualifications
• Technical and sales experience on construction job sites and/or manufacturing environments
• Ability to work effectively with little or no supervision
• Ready to assume responsibility quickly
• Team player with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Valid driver’s license, insurance, and a dependable car
• Clean drivers abstract

Salary: 80k base, 120k OTE, Benefits
