Sr. Mgr/Dir Operations, Logistics & Warehousing – Multi-Store Retail

Recruiting For Less – Our client, the #1 independent appliance retailer in Canada is looking for a Sr. Manager/Director of Operations to oversee Logistics and Warehousing. Headquartered in Brampton they operate 28 stores across 6 provinces and were ranked 135th in Growth 500 in 2019, 9th in the retail sector.

The successful candidate will build on our client’s existing success, while bringing their knowledge and experiences to enhance the organization

Responsibilities:

Provide leadership, support, guidance in the following areas:

● Day to Day Operations

● Refining existing systems / Develop new systems

● Recruitment / Retention

● Driving excellence each day.

A primary focus will be the co-ordination of inter-department communications, between Finance, IT, Purchasing, Sales and:

Logistics

● Lead the management team overseeing the National Home Delivery Network

● Managing Delivery Partner relationships

● Oversight of internal transfers throughout our network

Customer Care

● Working closely with the management team to grow and develop team to support growth

● Build on existing systems to ensure customers are receiving an amazing experience at all contact point, In-Person, Voice, Chat, E-mail

● Sub Departments: Returns, Parts & Service and Resolutions

Warehousing

● Developing systems that maximize efficiencies, and delivery of product to the customer

● 4 current facilities (3 Internal, 1 3PL)

● Outside the box thinking to both increase turnaround time and storage utilization

Store Operations

● Product Transfers

● Customer In-store Experience

● Showroom Maintenance

Qualifications:

● 10+ years multi-branch management experience with full P&L responsibility: restaurant, hospitality or retail experience preferred

● Strong leadership record with the ability to influence and build relationships

● Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

● Results focused leader that consistently drives for business results

● Strong analytical and organizational abilities, problem solving and the ability to work with ambiguity

● Must be able to build trust and rapport with business partners, confronting/resolving issues,ability to overcome resistance

● Effective verbal, presentation and written communication skills

● Ability to travel nationally within Canada

● A valid driving license is required

Salary/Bonus: Commensurate with experience
