In this role, you will sever as the go-to person for scripting, ad hoc report writing and stored procedures support. You will also broaden your skillset by working in Jasper Reports and conducting analysis.
Responsibilities:
Primary: Support client environment with SQL scripting, report writing and stored procedures support.
Secondary:
• Requirements gathering and documenting.
• Jasper report development
• Perform analysis, design, and coding based on business and functional requirements
• Participate in Quality Assurance unit and system testing
• Assist the Business Analyst with technical documentation for features developed or enhanced.
• Identify opportunities to improve the design of existing code based on exposure during software maintenance and enhancement.
Experience and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of SQL development
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient with Excel, Access and general Microsoft Office Automation using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)
Nice to have:
• Familiarity with Oracle 12c
• Knowledge of Java or .NET development language
• Experience with SharePoint
• Familiarity with Hibernate for Data Access
• Familiar with Eclipse IDE, SVN, PL/SQL Developer, SQL Plus, Jasper iReports
• Familiar understanding of tracking tools such as JIRA, HP Quality Center or other types of tools
• UML Modeling experience is helpful
• Familiar understanding on retirement domain system is a plus
