Their work graces over 2.5 million square feet of some of the finest homes, offices and public buildings throughout the Northeast, all along the Eastern Seaboard down to Florida and in the Caribbean. Their system design and products include AV Systems, Lighting Control, Computer Networking, Structured Wiring, Distributed Audio Systems, Phone Systems, HVAC Integration, Shades as well as intuitive Control Systems.
They are looking for a Service Technician to join their team. The purpose of this role is to provide the configuration and programming for finished components utilized in low voltage systems; music systems, video systems and control systems in residential and commercial projects. The majority of the projects are with-in the geographical region of New England however some projects will require travel outside of region.
Work Hours: Mon – Fri 6:00AM to 4:00PM
Job Responsibilities:
• To provide configuration and programming for finished components installed in low voltage systems, generally through the use of a computer interface.
• Installation of Finished goods in finished environments.
• May include wiring of new homes, termination and labeling and toning of wires, installation of devices in walls and enclosures.
• Some project sites will require travel and over-night trips
• Regional and national training will be available and will require travel and some over-night trips.
• Understanding and compliance with the generally accepted building codes and standards.
• Operate a motor vehicle with a valid State issued driver’s license.
• Aptitude for understanding and assisting others with technology.
Qualifications:
• 3 years’ experience in low-voltage environments e.g. audiovisual, security/video and communications.
• Knowledge to troubleshoot installed systems and service existing installations.
• Provide and maintain your tools and electronic devices for your position.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Attention to detail
