Quality Control Chemist – Cosmetics

Recruiting For Less – Our client, a Dallas TX based top manufacturer of skin, hair and cosmetic products, is looking for a Cosmetic Quality Control Chemist to join their expanding team!

Responsibilities:

• Provides technical support in testing, documenting and reviewing of raw materials, in-process products, finished goods and water samples for OTC skincare
• Conduct final finished product testing to ensure finished product specifications (E.g. pH, viscosity, texture, odour etc)
•  Conduct sensory evaluation on raw materials, in-process and finished products (E.g. colour, odor, texture)
• Uses and maintains laboratory instruments.
•  Receiving, organizing and storing of retain samples
•  Work collaboratively with production and compounding staff to ensure product is     manufactured according to FDA regulations and standards
• Document activities and results according to quality standards
• Records data, analyzes results, and maintains accurate and up-to-date records
• Assist in customer compliant investigation through retain sample review
• Apply the knowledge, skills and experience obtained to increase efficiency in solving new problems

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (BA / BS) in Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering or related science field
• 2+ years experience making lab batches in cosmetic / personal care products
• Proficient in MS Office applications
• Cosmetics experience is a plus, but is not required.

Compensation:  Commensurate with experience.
