Cyber-Security Specialist

Recruiting For Less – Our Pittsburgh/Boston/Toronto based client is a leading managed services provider, they are looking for a Cyber Security Expert to join their expanding team.

​Responsibilities:

• Implement and develop security solutions and documentation
• Conduct security assessments reviews and testing
• Implement security automation
• Apply knowledge of application security testing tools, methods, and technologies
• Configure and optimize security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, network devices
• Develop use cases for security SIEM (Security Incident and Event Management) and analytics
• Contribute to operation excellence and efficiency

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in a relevant area of study with a preference for Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• Professional Security Certification (e.g. CISSP, CISM)
• Minimum of 5 years in Cyber or Information Security
• 5+ years experience with networks, firewalls and experience with Cisco, Fortinet, Barracuda, Cloud Strike
• Technical knowledge on IT technology, security technology, security threats and trends
• Skills in Cloud infrastructure, Network, Operating systems, and software development
• Knowledge around firewalls, intrusion prevention and SIEM technologies
• Knowledge around data analytic platforms, specifically for security use cases
• Skills in influencing without authority, collaboration, business relationship management and communication

Salary: Commensurate with experience
