Recruiting For Less – Our client, a Midwest regional commercial builder, is looking for a Construction Superintendent to join their team. This role will oversee the construction of single tenant buildings in North Dakota and South Dakota for a national tenant. Typical turnaround is 90 calendar days. This role requires weekly travel (home for weekends).
Responsibilities:
• Manage overall project schedule from the ground up through to completion to the highest quality standard.
• Direct and coordinate subcontractors, oversee performance of all on-site staff.
• Effectively communicate and interact with building officials, owner representatives etc.
• Create look-ahead schedules of all trades in tight construction timelines.
• Plan and conduct safety meetings and ensure compliance with worker safety procedures.
• Manage project communications, including daily logs, meetings, tasks, documentation, drawings, budgeting, photographs, and quality control.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years’ Construction Superintendent experience in fast-track, ground-up projects
• English/Spanish bilingualism, an asset but not necessary
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work face to face with customers
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel
• Attention to detail, strong organization skills and high level of accuracy
• Ability to anticipate needs/be proactive.
• Ability to be flexible in changing environment.
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints.
