Recruiting For Less – – Our Plymouth based tool and machining client is looking for a 2nd shift (4pm – 2:30am) Precision Grinder.

Responsibilities
• Perform ultra-high precision grinding on large surface grinders (Ref 20” x 40”) to sustain and improve the daily operations at Andrew Tool and Machining (AT) while meeting the AS, ITAR and other related requirements.
• Ultra-high Precision Grinding and Quality assurance
 Large Surface Grinding (20” x 40” or larger)
 Roto Grinding and other as required
 ITAR and other AS requirements common to regulated environments
 Work closely with Scheduling and Shop Leads
o Operational support of assembly and other infrequent actions as required.

Relationships and Terms of Employment:
• Reports to: Operations Manager and Shop Lead
• Works with: Operations, Scheduling, Engineering & Quality
• Shift, Facility, Hourly, Full time, Qualifies for Benefits
o 2nd shift (~4:00 PM – 2:30 AM, M-Th)… this may fluctuate
o Based out of the Plymouth building
o Hourly, Full Time

Qualifications
• Education: HS Diploma minimum, 2 Year Machine Tool Degree with strong math skills preferred
• Experience: 7+ years experience with ultra-high precision grinding in a variety of Aerospace materials
• Skills and Aptitudes
o Math and strong Reading skills and comprehension
o Ability to Set-up and Operate multiple styles of machines
o Team and Collaboration skills a must
 Computer skills e.g. M1
o Strong communications (Written & Verbal)
o Dependable, Thorough
o Strong Mechanical/Technical ability
o G, D & T, Inspection
• Certifications: Vocational (TVI) Certificate in Machine Technology
o Industry Certification would be desirable
• Conditions and Special Requirements
o Travel: Generally, local travel requiring a valid drivers license. At times (<5%) will travel via plane, bus, train, other as business needs require o Lifting & Physical: Often lifting and handling <45 pounds. At times, will lift and handle up to 65 pounds. Bending, kneeling, squatting turning and rotation.
