Responsibilities
Accounting/Finance
• General accounting/bookkeeping; Maintain integrity of financial records
• Payables/Receivables management
• Banking & Cash Management (monthly reconciliations)
• Tax receipting – deal with gifts & payments
• Payroll – track staff hours and expenses
• Reporting – Generate monthly financials and annual charity return; Work with external accountants to generate annual statements
• Budgeting – Participate/lead budgeting and planning activities
• Financial project management for events and initiatives
• Financial policy and procedure formation
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations and accounting policy for not-for-profit charities
Member & General Support
• Issue billing statements on a timely basis
• Assist with collection calls and receivables
• Interact with membership in a polished professional manner.
Qualifications
• University or College degree in Accounting/Finance or related field
• Quickbooks experience
• Competency in Word, Excel, Power Point, and Accounting and Reporting systems.
• Demonstrated organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal/communication skills with the ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization
Compensation
• Salary: to 65k commensurate with experience
• Vacation: 2 weeks
