Warehouse Manager – Retail Appliances

As one of the GTAs largest private appliance retailers our client is growing in leaps and bounds. They are looking for a Warehouse Manager to join their expanding team. Working closely with the Director of Operations, this role will be responsible for a 70,000 sq ft warehouse through the control of receiving/shipping, warehouse personnel as well as inventory management.

Position Overview
• Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
• Develop and maintain warehouse Standard Operating Procedures including schedule of activities.
• Work with Director of Operations to proactively ensure readiness to manage all incoming and outgoing products for physical stores as well as the online store
• Oversee the inventory management system for daily and monthly inventory tracking and reporting cycles. Reconcile inventory imbalances. Works with retail store & online store teams to ensure accuracy of store transfers & online inventory
• Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
• Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; issuing requests for repair and maintenance.
• Operate a forklift as required
• Enforce health and safety regulations and procedures.
• Respond and provide reports to senior management as requested

Role Requirements
• 10+ years of experience in warehouse/distribution/supply chain management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Forklift certification

Compensation
• Salary $55,000 – $70,000 commensurate with experience
• Vacation — 2 weeks
