Technical Order Entry Specialist

Our Toronto based client, an entrepreneurial specialty screen printer, provides graphics printed on metals, plastic, and vinyl. They are searching for a Technical Order Entry Specialist, a junior role in a manufacturing environment. Supporting the Sales team, this role qualifies customer specifications, order entry, and order management. The successful candidate will learn to be comfortable reading blueprints and quality manuals, liaising with material suppliers and subcontractors.

Responsibilities
• Provide analysis of drawing and mil spec requirements to ensure compliance
• Provide customer service by receiving, analyzing, and verifying the accuracy of customer order information and processing in a timely manner
• Process orders and provide support for sales and estimating, quality and production
• Use ERP software as well as knowledge of Excel, Adobe Creative Suite and AutoCAD is expected.
• Strive for continuous improvement, developing and establishing new metrics for order processing and administrative efficiencies
• Maintain client estimates and orders
• Manage expedite and change-to-schedule requests
• Attend marketing/sales meetings
• Ensure that escalated issues are documented and followed through to completion

Qualifications
• Degree or certification as an engineering or quality technician is preferred
• Strong understanding and in depth use of AutoCAD
• Strong, detail-oriented, order entry and management skills
• 2-3 years’ experience in order management/fulfillment in a manufacturing or aerospace environment

Compensation
• Salary: 35-40k commensurate with experience
• 2 weeks’ vacation
