Our north Toronto client, a building and facilities maintenance supply distributor is need of a Buyer / Purchaser. This role will be responsible for the procurement of; Appliance Parts, Building Supplies, Plumbing, Electrical, Hardware, Lighting, Pest Control, Seasonal, Janitorial Supplies, Safety Supplies, HVAC, and Tools.

The successful candidate should demonstrate strong communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities:
• Work with vendors to maintain inventory levels and complete purchase orders
• Maintain database of products and monitor product performance
• Understand market seasonality to keep product sufficiently stocked and competitively priced.
• Good knowledge of hardware/building supplies and equipment
• Oversee receiving and verify inbound shipments

Qualifications:
• 3+ years’ experience in purchasing, inventory control and merchandising
• University/College degree preferred
• Strong computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to think critically and make decisions

Compensation:
• Salary to 80k commensurate with experience
• Vacation: 2 weeks
