Project Manager – ICI Electrical Construction

Our Scarborough-based client, a well-established electrical construction firm is in need of a Project Manager. Reporting to the Construction Manager this role is to insure Projects are constructed in accordance with plans, specifications, addenda, applicable ESA code standards, within budget and scheduled timelines . Essentially oversee the Project construction team to achieve a financially successful result.

Responsibilities and Duties
• Project start-up
• Packaged purchase orders
• Sub-contracts
• Change orders
• Monthly cost reports
• Monthly billings
• RFI’s
• Coordinate field force requirements
• Attend site meetings
• Monitor construction schedule
• Coordinate equipment deliveries
• Approve site purchase requisitions
• Liaise with site foreman
• Adhere to Company policies and procedures
• Develop positive relationships with General Contractors, Consultants and Owner representatives on assigned Projects
Qualifications and Skills
• Electrical Engineering Degree or Certified Engineering Technician Diploma from a Canadian Institution
• Licensed Electrician in Ontario
• Gold Seal Certificate- Project Management Electrical Construction
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the ICI construction sector and the ability to manage multiple Projects.
• Strong computer skills are necessary. Experience with Accubid Change Order, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and Jonas Management System an asset.
• A strong understanding of the Ontario Electrical safety Code.
• Strong written and verbal
• Must have a vehicle.

Compensation:
• Salary: $80-100k commensurate with experience
• Vacation: 6%

Hours: 40 Hours per week, follow OEC optional hour program as arranged with Construction Manager
