Trust Fund Accounting Manager

Our North York based client, a benefits and pension plan administrator is looking for an Accounting Manger to lead the accounting for the trust funds under their management.  This role also oversees the annual auditing process.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the general ledger, reconcile bank accounts, provide cash management
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and year-end closing entries for each trust
  • Manage year-round auditing responsibilities for annual audits. Maintain ongoing communication and coordination with plan auditors
  • Schedule, prepare and organize documentation used by the auditors to successfully complete their auditing process
  • Lead/coach/mentor team members

Qualifications:

  • CPA
  • 7+ years experience with trust fund accounting
  • Strong computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong English communication skills (written, verbal)
