Finance Manager – Facilities Maintenance [CLOSED]

Our central Toronto client, a leader in the facilities maintenance sector, is looking for a Finance Manager to assume the financial reins of this $5M business. Wearing different hats, this role will lead all accounting, finance and business decision support activity, as well as partake in the upgrading of the company’s systems e.g. inventory, dispatch etc. If you are looking for a finance leadership role in a vibrant business environment that is primed for growth this is the place for you!

Primary Responsibilities
• Oversee daily operations of the Accounting department
• Monitor, analyze and provide commentary on operating results against budget
• Conduct operational analysis and all management reporting
• Recommend benchmarks for measuring financial and operating performance of divisions
• Prepare financial statements, outlooks/forecasts, and 3 -5 year business plans
• Direct and coordinate company financial planning, treasury and budget management functions
• Prepare financial/operational analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions
• Conduct deep dive analyses as required
• Maintain finance organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the department’s goals and objectives
• New systems implementation (inventory, dispatch etc.)
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skill Requirements
• Knowledge of finance , accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including GAAP
• Knowledge of financial and accounting reporting systems
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections
• Knowledge of short/long term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis
• Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate teams to produce quality results within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
• Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
• Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.

Qualifications
• 7-10 years of experience in a senior level finance or accounting role
• Accounting designation (CMA, CA)

Compensation
• 70k – 90k plus bonus

• 2 weeks annual paid vacation
