HR Manager – Manufacturing

Our Woodbridge based client, a custom retail store fixture manufacturer, is experiencing growth and is in need of a Human Resources Manager. This position will spearhead initiatives in growing the onboarding, training and development programs and employee guidelines, manage the Health & Safety program, as well as lead continuous improvement on human resources functions. The successful candidate will have highly developed interpersonal skills, and be able to communicate, negotiate and mediate issues in an adept manner.

Responsibilities

Structure and standardize recruitment process and company branding in conjunction with affiliate recruiter
Oversee the recruiting process including sourcing candidates, screening, interviewing and collaborating with other hiring managers
Implement Health & Safety program and act as the main point-of-contact for all Health & Safety issues including training, WSIB claims, Form 7 authorization, etc.
Develop a comprehensive compensation program and pay equity addendum
Establish a communications program using various media forms to facilitate conversation with and among employees
Improve and standardize employee guidelines and bring awareness to company policies through training and development sessions and company lunch & learns
Facilitate annual performance review process
Build up-to-date job descriptions, employee contracts and offer letters
Provide leadership training focused on employee coaching and performance management and oversee annual performance review process.
Administrative duties regarding payroll, benefits, termination documentation, government legislation compliance, etc.

Qualifications

5+ years’ experience in a Human Resources Management or similar position in a manufacturing environment
University/college and/or diploma/certificate in Human Resource Management
Strong computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access)
Leadership skills and ability to influence

Compensation

Salary: $60-75K commensurate with experience
2 weeks’ vacation
