Quality Assurance Inspector

Our Richmond Hill-based client, an established manufacturer of custom machining parts and tools for the aerospace and nuclear sectors is in need of a Quality Assurance Inspector to be responsible for examining products, ensuring products meet or exceed specifications and quality standards, and maintain ISO and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate should demonstrate strong understanding and technical proficiency in inspection, diagnostics, and repair.

Responsibilities:
• Sampling, measuring and verifying that manufactured products meet pre-determined quality standards
• Perform Quality Control product validation inspections, mechanical inspections from Engineering design drawings and Code Specifications during Fabrication, In-process, and Final Shipping processes
• Be responsible for documenting product defects and generating Non-Conformance Reports in accordance to ISO 9001:2008
• Inspect products at various stages of processing to ensure adherence to specifications, Grade and label raw material or finished products, take samples of products during or after processing operation for routine analysis, test products for strength, durability and conformity to specifications
• Utilizes knowledge of shop mathematics, blue print reading, geometric tolerance and Statistical Process Control
• Enforces company standards for safety and security regulations, environmental compliance and good shop housekeeping practices

Qualifications:
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment
• University/College degree preferred in Quality Assurance
• Strong computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), PC-DMIS
• Proficiency in FARO an asset
• Ability to read drawings, technical specifications and understanding of GD& T

Compensation:
• Salary: $45-60K commensurate with experience
• Vacation: 2 weeks
