Our Downtown Toronto-based client, a worldwide manufacturer and supplier of roofing products is in need of an Inventory Control Clerk to be responsible for managing and maintaining inventory in the maintenance and parts department. The successful candidate should demonstrate proactive work ethic, high attention to detail and .

Responsibilities:
• Receive, sort and store parts and supplies
• Process incoming requisitions and distribute parts and supplies
• Prepare parts for work orders to be completed on the next PM day, ready 24 hours prior
• Maintain computer records on inventory (orders placed, number type of parts/supplies available, stored location)
• Prepare orders to replenish parts/supplies and maintain adequate stock and identification system
• Advise clients, planner, production personnel or internal user on parts/supplies/materials requested
• Investigate and resolve work issues, problem orders, receiving discrepancies, picking/shipping discrepancies, inventory errors
• Engineer storage layout to improve picking and stock efficiencies
• Accountable for parts/spares physical inventory. Perform periodic review, inventory adjustments and cycle counts
• Assist receiving as required, pack and ship parts/spares for destination

Qualifications:
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a similar role in a manufacturing/supplier environment
• University/College degree preferred
• Strong computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Knowledge of CMMS/Mapix an asset
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and thorough
• Ability to lead

Compensation:
• Salary: $42,000
• Vacation: 2 weeks
