Industrial Electrician

Our Concord-based client, an established designer and manufacturer of corrugated products is in need of an Industrial Electrician to be responsible for the setup and maintenance of equipment and machinery. The successful candidate should demonstrate flexibility, high level of technical skill and critical thinking, and a growing understanding of newer technologies and applications.

Responsibilities:

Maintain and service plant electrical controls, motors, machinery and accessories
Ensure that the provision of the Canadian Electrical Code are observed in all electrical installations
Operational problem solving and seeking out continuous improvements to the process
Perform preventative maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, machine improvements and modifications to minimize interruption to production
Inspect and test equipment in order to diagnose and analyze problems.
Ensure documentation of maintenance work occurs according to Maintenance Best Practices
Communicate with other technical team members
Provide technical support around the clock as a part of overtime hours to ensure facility is operating efficiently and smoothly

Qualifications:

Minimum 3+ years’ experience as an Industrial Electrician in a manufacturing/plant environment
Certificate/Diploma required, Industrial Electrical Trade Certification, Industrial Red Seal Certificate, 442A
Experience in a corrugated products environment an asset
Strong knowledge and working experience with PLCs, CNCs, automation equipment, motors and controls, supply lines, transformers, regulators, etc.

Compensation:

Salary: $30-35/hr
Vacation: 2 weeks
