Inventory Demand Planner

Our Etobicoke-based client, an established import/export firm is in need of an Inventory Demand Planner to be responsible for planning the demand and supply of products to retail channels and inventory management. The successful candidate should demonstrate significant experience in forecasting volume, revenue, product movement and procuring supply as well as works with a high degree of urgency and integrity.

Responsibilities:

Daily analysis of inventory, forecast, sell thru, advertising plans, in stock, backlog, and plan weekly supply and allocation plans by retailer
Ensure proper pipeline fill by retailer to support forecast. Review weekly DC/warehouse inventory, in-transit, in-stock to determine future shipment plan.
Manage and address product allocation and prioritization requests
Develop supply contingency plans based on risk & opportunity identified to the forecast
Prepare weekly supply allocation plans and directions. Monitor shipments to weekly plan and follow up on delays.
Communicates on a continuous basis with sales reps to ensure customer is informed on status of their orders.
Communicates with purchasing to ensure quantity of customer orders are met
Collaborate with logistics to ensure operations are transparent and supply lines are performing

Qualifications:

Minimum 3+ years’ experience in supply chain management and demand planning systems
University/College degree preferred in operations/supply/business management
Strong computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) must be fluent in Microsoft Excel
Strongly analytical, demonstrated proficiency in statistics and forecasting
Excellent English communication skills (verbal/written)

Compensation:

Salary: $45-60K commensurate with experience
Vacation: 2 weeks
