Production Supervisor

Our Toronto-based client, one of Canada’s industry leaders in flooring products is in need of a Production Supervisor to oversee production of one of its production lines. The successful candidate should be process-driven team player able to lead a team to meet production targets and quality requirements.

Responsibilities:
• Assign and direct daily work to team members so that production lines are adequately staffed, production schedules are met, and production efficiencies are met or exceeded
• Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of line workers
• Provide for team member safety by promoting safe work practices, monitoring compliance with health & safety policies and minimizing physical hazards to promote an overall safe work environment
• Set up production equipment and perform regular review and repair to ensure that all machinery is operating safely and efficiently
• Conduct ongoing employee coaching and training on equipment, job duties, company programs, compliance issues
• Report to Plant Supervisor

Qualifications:
• Minimum 10+ years’ experience in manufacturing plant environment with 3 years’ supervisory experience
• GED or equivalent preferred
• Strong communication and time-management skills

Compensation:
• Salary: $40-50K commensurate with experience
• Vacation: 2 weeks
