Recruiting For Less – Our Dayton/Cincinnati client is a commercial security integration firm offering Integrated Systems, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Video Solutions, Visitor Management and other services across a variety of industries. They are seeking a Service Technician that has experience with installing, programming and maintaining security systems.

Responsibilities
• Engineer installations by reviewing work orders, gathering supplies, evaluating location, locating access, formulating wiring plans, and arranging equipment
• Oversee wiring runs throughout buildings
• Test wireless and networking equipment for correct functionality and optimal performance
• Maintain accurate construction, wiring, equipment, service, and inventory records for each installation
• Treat customers with respect, courtesy, and professionalism at all times
• Listen to descriptions of tech support problems, answer questions and resolve issues
• Communicate the wiring plans and equipment layout with customer prior to the installation
• Educate customers by conveying verbal information clearly and concisely
• Follow industry codes, regulations, and standards
• Adhere to policies and procedures while working autonomously
• Maintain a safe work environment by following safe practices and adhering to safety policies
• Refer to and interpret schematics, manuals, and manufacturer’s instructions
• Update and improve job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading engineering publications, and participating in on-going technical training

Qualifications and Skills
• 1 – 3 years’ installation experience in low voltage electrical systems, Security, Intrusion, Access Control, IP Video Surveillance, and Intercom Systems
• Experience with hand tools test equipment, IP Video Network testing, multi-meter usage, digital analyzer and commissioning devices.
• High School diploma or equivalent – Associates Degree or Technical preferred
• Maintain valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Positive attitude and motivated to work in team environment is a must
• Must have a clean driving record; pass a background investigation — no criminal records., candidate must pass a drug-screening test.

Preference will be given to candidates with advanced knowledge/certification in: Genetec, Honeywell Pro-Watch, Software House, OnSSI, Milestone, D&P and Axin

Compensation: $20 – 28/hr, vehicle, laptop, mobile, benefits, vacation. Tools will not be provided.
